DTI website

Again this is something I saw on the WaSP site.

In the past I did some work on some of the DFES sites and they had standards that we had to work to and we did mainly because it was something I was interested in and it was something that was becoming a bigger issue. The work I did was about two years ago. I remember they were going through some kind re-branding exercise and the homepage was re-designed to be what it is now - which seems pretty good to me although there are a couple of validation errors. We were given templates and a guide of what we had to do.

I don’t see why this has happened with the DTI - which the homepage doesn’t validate at all - on my Firefox HTMLtidy validator I get a bit red cross and there is not even a doctype.

Sometimes I think these things happen because the client thinks they are dealing with professionals who know what they are doing and don’t want to look stupid. When in fact they are not!
